  • The Lane University Center was named by student popular vote in 1972. Other possible names included: Bobcat Den, John F. Kennedy College Center, Frederick Douglas College Center, Braddock College Center, James A. Graham College Center, and the Shaft College Center.
  • Centrally located on the I-68 corridor, the FSU campus is just two and one-half hours southeast of Pittsburgh and two and one-half hours west of the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore metro areas. Our cool summer nights and warm mountain hospitality offer opportunities for a variety of activities including receptions, camps, and recreational events. The Lane University Center is a white brick building strategically located in the center of Frostburg State’s campus. It is easiest to access the Lane University Center from the Performing Arts Center parking lot and take the pathway toward the Clock Tower.
