奖学金

In order to be considered for Visual Arts scholarships:

  1. Students should first be admitted to the University.
  2. Students should fill in the general scholarship application by clicking 申请奖学金.
  3. This link will bring students to the scholarships page and the general scholarship application, but students must first sign in to navigate to the general scholarship application (sign in link at the top/right of the page).
  4. Below are FSU Scholarship 政策 and a list of Department of Visual Arts 奖学金.

The following is a list of Visual Arts scholarships. Please see the scholarship booklet for details. You can find additional scholarship opportunities regardless of majors at the FSU财政援助 website.

The FSU scholarship application deadline is March 1 of each year unless otherwise noted in the scholarship booklet.

These scholarships are awarded to entering freshmen and transfer students. 入学 applications are automatically screened by the 入学s Office to select recipients for these awards. 领导 Awards and Talent in the Arts 奖学金 require additional materials from the applicant. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee selection.

Graduate Art Education (MAT) 奖学金

Criteria: The recipient must be a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree candidate and/or pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching with art education certification. The recipient will be selected based upon participation in an art program, 项目组合评估, 比赛, exhibition (Annual FSU Student Art Show) or similar activity as administered by the Department of Visual Arts or its successor in support of Visual Art studies.

Rosann Phipps Langhans Art Scholarship

Criteria: The recipient(s) must be enrolled full-time at FSU, with a declared intent to be an art major and graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) 在艺术 & 设计 and/or pursuing a Master of Arts in Teaching with art education certification. Applicants must demonstrate interest in art and design by previous scholarship, 投资组合, 会员, 或业余爱好. The recipient(s) will be selected based upon participation in an art program, 项目组合评估, 比赛, exhibition (Annual FSU Student Art Show) or similar activity as administered by the Department of Visual Arts or its successor in support of Visual Art studies.
Preference will be given to: (1) renewal applicants; and (2) in the event of equally qualified applicants, applicants with academic ability.

FSU Scholarship 政策

These scholarships are for enrollment at Frostburg State University only. All scholarships are awarded based on the availability of funds. FSU reserves the right to adjust and/or cancel an award if it is subsequently determined that the recipient does not meet the qualifications for the scholarship. All scholarships require a completed application. 奖学金 will not be awarded to students who have not reapplied. (If you are receiving a scholarship in the current academic year and feel that you should receive it again next year, 你必须重新申请.) Enrollment status will be evaluated each semester at the end of the drop/add period. If a student receives a scholarship that is based on full-time enrollment and he/she is not enrolled in at least 12 credits (9 credits for graduate students), the scholarship will be canceled. No scholarship will be awarded for enrollment below 6 credits per semester. Some awards have specific minimum grade point averages that must be maintained, and the minimum for any award is a 2.5 overall grade point average. Recipients are reviewed at the end of each semester.
