成绩单 & 学术信息

To participate in 毕业典礼, you must have successfully completed, or be enrolled in the semester prior to the ceremony, all course work required for you to complete your degree. Exceptions to this rule can be found under 毕业 in the Academic Regulations & Procedures section of the University catalog.

成绩单

• 成绩单 will be available after each semester's graduates have been cleared and the degrees are posted to the University's academic records (this is usually accomplished within 4-6 weeks after 毕业典礼).
• 毕业典礼 honors are recalculated after the students' final semester grades are recorded.
• Where appropriate, the teacher certification and social work certification is posted.
• Students should request their transcript online through Parchment. 参观 记录请求 page for more information.
• Contact the Registrar’s Office at 301.687.4346 for any questions about approval to graduate, transcripts, diplomas, etc.

文凭

• 文凭 will be mailed to students who have graduated, per the final review process. Students can expect to receive their diploma at their mailing address four to six weeks after their degree has been conferred. The diploma shows the degree earned--not your major and minor.

• 毕业 is the conferral of the academic degree after all course and degree requirements are complete. Frostburg State University offers degree conferrals after the end of each semester/term: Spring (May), 夏天(八月), 秋天(12月), 冬季(一月). A final review of degree requirements is conducted after semester grades are submitted. Once the reviews are completed, a “Degree Awarded” statement will appear at the top of the student’s transcript.
  毕业典礼 is the ceremony to celebrate students’ accomplishments and anticipated graduation. FSU offers two commencement exercises each year, one in May and one in December. Winter (January) graduates and Spring (May) graduation candidates are included in the May ceremony. 夏天(八月) graduates and 秋天(12月) graduation candidates are included in the December ceremony.

荣誉

• Eligibility for honors is based on your cumulative grade point average as of the beginning of the semester in which you graduate.
• Students graduating with honors will receive gold tassels in their cap and gown packet.
• If you have questions about honors designation, please contact the 注册处.

组织连接

• Some organizations provide cording (woven cords of various colors ending in tassels) for their graduating seniors. Cording of recognized student organizations is allowed.
• Explanations of cording are provided in the 毕业典礼 program at each ceremony.
• If you have a question about the cording for your organization, contact your organization advisor.

计划小册子

• Don't worry about taking a program with you. There will be programs preset at each graduates seat. The commemorative 毕业典礼 program will list each graduate's primary major and hometown. Please note that if you have completed a double major, only the primary major that you identified on your application for graduation will be the discipline listed.
• 流苏: If you are an undergraduate graduating with honors, a gold tassel should also be included in your cap and gown packet, 和你 will wear the gold tassel instead of the black one. Eligibility for honors is based on your cumulative GPA prior to the beginning of this semester and the GPAs required will be explained during the ceremony.
